500+ Reviews

A Level 2 home EV charger delivers 25-30 miles of range per hour of charging — a full overnight charge for most EVs. We handle the complete installation: panel capacity verification, dedicated circuit, proper wiring, NEMA outlet or hardwired connection, permit, and inspection. Compatible with Tesla, Rivian, Ford, Chevy, BMW, and all J1772/NACS vehicles.

The Details

What You Need to Know

Level 2 EV charging requires a 240V dedicated circuit, typically 40A or 50A depending on the charger. The first step is verifying your panel has available capacity. If your panel is at or near capacity, we may recommend a panel upgrade or a smart load management device that shares capacity between your EV charger and other large loads.

We install both NEMA 14-50 outlets (for plug-in chargers) and hardwired connections (for wall-mounted chargers like Tesla Wall Connector). Hardwired installations are cleaner, more secure, and required by some chargers. We mount the charger at the optimal height and location for your parking setup.

Utah offers incentives for EV charging installation. Check with Rocky Mountain Power for current rebate programs. We can help you identify available incentives during your consultation.

Got Questions?

EV Charger Installation FAQ

?How much does EV charger installation cost?
Typically $800-$2,500 depending on distance from panel to charger, whether a panel upgrade is needed, and the charger type. This includes labor, materials, permit, and inspection.
?Can my panel handle an EV charger?
It depends on your current panel capacity and existing loads. A 200A panel usually has room. A 100A panel may need an upgrade or smart load management. We assess this during the site survey.
?Should I get a 40A or 50A circuit?
Most EV chargers draw 32A-48A. A 50A circuit on 6-gauge wire accommodates all current home chargers and provides future flexibility. A 40A circuit works for chargers rated at 32A or less.
?How long does installation take?
Typically 3-6 hours depending on the distance from panel to charger location and any drywall/conduit routing needed.
?Do I need a Tesla Wall Connector for my Tesla?
No. Any J1772 Level 2 charger works with Tesla using the included adapter (or built-in NACS port on newer models). However, the Tesla Wall Connector offers the fastest home charging rate at 48A.
